Senior DevOps Engineer

We’re building a leading FinTech platform for Cameroon and the CEMAC region, with the goal of establishing the company as the #1 leading player in the Fintech and Digital Financial space.

We’re seeking a Business Software Engineer to join our international team. You’ll collaborate across disciplines to develop and integrate new services while upholding our high software quality standards. We value energetic problem-solvers passionate about shaping the future of FinTech.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong technical background and experience in DevOps and system administration. You should have a good understanding of cloud infrastructure, containers, networking principles, and scripting languages. The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment is essential.

Duties

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and administering our cloud infrastructure, monitoring systems, and networking components
• Ensuring the security and availability of our services and systems
• Monitor system performance and availability
• Design and implement scalable solutions
• Implement, maintain, and continuously improve automation tools for system provisioning and deployment
• Identify and resolve infrastructure and system issues
• Ensure security and compliance of systems

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• 2+ years of experience in DevOps or system administration
• Strong experience with Containers and Container Orchestration Tools (e.g. Swarm, k8s, nomad)
• Experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Jenkins, Terraform)
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash)
• Knowledge of networking principles and protocols
• Understanding of security best practices
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with log management and monitoring tools (e.g Kibana).

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of Standard API Gateway solutions (e.g Kong, Tyk, Apigee)
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
